Workshop Pré-former /Performer. Sources et catégories pour l’étude de la performance et le ritual (Louvain, 6-7 oct. 2021)
Study day organised by the Monastic Landscapes project (UB) and the Université Catholique de Louvain (UCLouvain), with the aim of sharing and analysing the sources that allow the study of performance and ritual linked to spaces and actors/actresses in religious contexts. This workshop will focus on the potential of diverse sources (manuscripts, archival documents, images, objects…) and will work on the systematisation of categories for classifying performative activities (devotional, liturgical, legal-political-theatrical…) in monastic and religious spaces in the Middle Ages and early modernity.
