Mirrors Project is an initiative of the COPOLIS, Welfare, Community and Social Control, Research Group from the University of Barcelona that brings together researchers interested in the analysis of social changes in family models related with processes such as surrogacy and assisted reproduction technologies (ART). It seeks to frame research projects and other dissemination activities and analyses with the aim of opening new lines of reflection and debate on family and its current transformations.

Currently, Mirrors Project is conducting a research project called “Maternal surrogacy. Parental transformations in Spain on the 21st Century" (Ref. CSO2014- 55556-P, I + D + i 2014-17, Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness) funded by the Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness for the period 2014-2017 with the aim of deepening the analysis of the challenges and changes that surrogacy is introducing in the current Spanish society.
