March 17, 2017: UBZurich Chair celebrated the “Actuarial Day 2017”, an event where the students of the Master in Actuarial and Finance Science from UB had the opportunity to attend the closing session of the fourth edition of “The Challenge Program” with participants from the Master program.

The event was opened by Mr. Carlos Esteban (Director of Human Resources and Corporate Social Responsibility Zurich), Ms. Mercedes Ayuso (Chairman of the UBZurich Chair) and Mr. Miguel Santolino (Director of the Actuarial and Financial Sciences Master program).
After the opening, students of the master presented the results obtained in the development of the Business Case “Pricing strategies to retain clients based on price elasticity”. The winner team of the present edition of “The Challenge Program” was Alberto Alegret, Nuria Amat, Carla de Pedro and Albert Romero. During the ceremony, Mr. Jordi Margarit (Chief Pricing Actuary Zurich) gave the Master Class entitled “Pricing: in between science and art”. He appointed out that decision-makers should have an open-minded attitude to new ideas. The event was closed by Mr. Fernando Daudén (Chief Underwriting Officer Zurich).
