Call for Applications: Thesis Workshop on Palestinian Cultural Expressions

The Thesis Workshop on Palestinian Cultural Expressions: Supporting Critical Research and Creative Resistance in and Through Palestinian Arts invites Master's and PhD students working on Palestine to participate in a collective space of reflection, feedback, and academic support.
This workshop seeks to strengthen committed and creative research on Palestinian cultural expressions, such as literature, cinema, visual arts, dabke, comics, music, food, embroidery, and more, particularly in light of increasing restrictions on Palestinian studies in academic settings.
We welcome participants from diverse disciplines, including cultural studies, media, performance, anthropology, musicology, and gender studies. Projects incorporating a gender perspective are especially encouraged.
Participants will:
- Present their work and receive feedback
- Join a general session on academic writing
- Attend a keynote talk
- Take part in a collaborative working session
- Receive a certificate of attendance
To apply, please complete the application form (included in the downloadable PDF) and send it by 30 April 2025 to danaefonseca@ub.edu.
