The Consolidated Research Group Creació i Pensament de les Dones (Universitat de Barcelona) is announcing the ADHUC Prize in sexuality and gender studies to reward a research project in this interdisciplinary field of study. The Prize will consist of the publication of the awarded essay within the Icaria’s collection "Mujeres y culturas". The members of the jury that will award the prize are: Fina Birulés (Universitat de Barcelona), Elena Madrigal (El Colegio de México), Rafael M. Mérida Jiménez (Universitat de Lleida), Alberto Mira (Oxford Brookes University), Marta Segarra (Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique and director of the collection) and Lluís Maria Todó (Universitat Pompeu Fabra).
The essays, which have to be unpublished (that is, they cannot be accessed via any means) and written in Spanish, will have a total length of between 150 and 220 pages of 2.100 characters each (including blank spaces). Collective volumes, collections of articles or other academic works that hadn't been turned into essays will not be accepted.The texts have to be e-mailed and posted before December 15, 2016 (it is recommended to read the document that contains the rules of the II ADHUC Prize). The award resolution will be privately communicated to the winner and it will be publically announced in the website: http://www.ub.edu/cdona. The winner agrees to accept the terms of the contract proposed by Icaria editorial.
