Fragmenta Editorial has published La gravetat i la gràcia by Simone Weil, in Catalan. The present translation and presentation are Pau Matheu's. This book is a collection of fragments from Simone Weil's handwritten notebooks, chosen by writer Gustave Thibon. Its publication in 1947 generated a true commotion amongst European intellectuals, and for many it constitutes, to date, the entry into the French philosopher's rich, fruitful, and paradoxal thought. This work is an invitation into the spiritual truth of a philosopher who lived her life prophetically and mystically, enslaved to gravity and a freed by grace.
