This year the conference examines issues related to technological advances and their impact on democracy and putting special attention to blockchain technology and artificial intelligence (AI) regarding the media, social networks and governance of societies

The development and deployment of artificial intelligence technologies and the consequent expansion of their uses and general access has been exponential.
This development combines scientific advances resulting from research and innovation with models of technological exploitation led by companies of global scope.
It becomes unavoidable to generate spaces to debate on whether and how this development should be, who should lead it, its risks and opportunities or what role citizens and institutions should play.
In a time of marked uncertainties and accelerations, it is necessary to stop, meet and share reflections that allow us to succeed in the diagnosis and purse a future with guarantees.
