Research

The UB Water Research Institute's approach to research is interdisciplinary. Therefore, it aims to consolidate and foster collaborations with other institutions. Its aims are:

• to increase the success rate of the Institute's research teams in national and international calls for applications and competitive proposals for funding for research projects and research infrastructure;

• to increase the number of contracts of particular scientific relevance that are made with companies and institutions, and sign more technology transfer contracts, especially those that are at European level or with international organizations;

• to establish mechanisms to encourage research that reward effort and results in terms of scientific publications and the impact of Institute researchers.
