Prologue

Fina Birulés (Seminari Filosofia i Gènere-ADHUC, Universitat de Barcelona) is the author of an extensive prologue in the Galician edition of Eichmann en Xerusalén (Servizo de Publicacións da Universidade de Santiago de Compostela, 2021), entitled: "Arendt sobre Eichmann, unha lectura radical". Birulés, a specialist in the philosopher, addresses issues such as the banality of evil, the human condition of plurality, the writing style of the work and the portrait that the author makes of Eichmann with the information available at the time of the trial. The book has been published in the collection Clásicos do pensamiento universal, coinciding with the fiftieth anniversary of the trial. Jesús M. Saavedra Carballido is the translator of Arendt's work and Helena González Fernández (ADHUC-Universitat de Barcelona), of the prologue.
