The Col·lectiu de Solidaritat amb els Països Catalans de Viedma-Patagones, is a non-profit social organization, aimed at promoting the defense of the rights of self-determination of the peoples, as well as actions of support and reciprocal exchange between the peoples- nations without states or under states that oppress the right to a differentiated existence. It was created on December 2, 2008, at the request of the “Grupo Internacional Copolis. Welfare, Community and Social Control ”, locating its place of operation in a shared way with other entities in the Social Multisede“ Daniel “Pascua” Di Nella ”, located on Calle Saavedra No. 81 in the city of Viedma.
In its performance, it prioritizes scientific, social and cultural action. Along these lines, the Col·lectiu has organized, on the one hand, various cultural and artistic activities, such as trobades, aplecs and conversatorisen català, on various current issues. Also, he articulated collaborations between social scientists from different academic units. And on the other hand, it took care of the logistics to promote and facilitate academic exchanges of students, graduates and teachers and university researchers, as well as the organization of seminars, courses, postgraduate courses, symposia, international conferences and projects of joint research and teaching innovation.
Especially as of 2012, the Col·lectiu reorganized itself and began to promote its solidarity (understood as a supportive political action) from a new agenda and content, linked to the reality of the various nation-nations without a state or under an oppressive state. Right to self-determination of marginalized peoples, in the context of the internationalization processes of the structural inequality of the world power-system.
This reality is that of the 5000 marginalized nations and subordinate to the little more than 200 states of global capitalism that govern them and exclude them from the system of decisions that are adopted on the issues that affect them. For this reason, the work carried out from this international contextualization is much more closely related to the process of resistance of the Catalan nation against the subordinationist policy to the Spanish state monarchy (or what is the same, of liberation and popular emancipation, ecological, feminist, republican and radically democratic that the Països Catalans are leading).
Consequently, the axes of work and dissemination revolve around the Spanish state repression and the political-judicial persecution of civil disobedience; the criminalization of non-violent protest and the formulation of a criminal law of the enemy; the legal war against the political and social opposition (law fare against the Catalan government and social leaders); the need for instituting processes of participatory democracies for the formation of plurinational states; comparative studies of the original but marginalized peoples-nations of the world-power system of Europe and Asia (such as Hong Kong, Kurdistan, Palestine, Catalonia, Scotland, Euskadi, among others…) and the indigenous peoples of Africa and Amerindia; and the impact of these processes of globalization of structural inequality, in the groups of upbringing and development of social relations in daily life. All of this, placing emphasis on research, training and dissemination of various topics of the current political situation of the Catalan nation people and the Mapuche nation people, according to the territorial areas with the greatest location and incidence of the Col·lectiu.
In this framework, it is that orientation, advice and technical assistance have been provided for more than 12 exchanges, stays and / or visits of people residing in the Catalan Countries to the Federated State of Argentina, as well as more than 18 from Argentina in the Catalan Countries (taking place at least one per semester since 2012). Also, the International Thematic Research Network on Single-parent Families (TIIFAMO Network) and the international symposia on single-parent families (2017 in Viedma, 2019 in La Plata) have also been co-promoted; three co-editions of the Master’s Degree on Families and Society and the Postgraduate Specialization on Gender, Family Diversity and Technologies, distance learning from the University of Barcelona); the Permanent Seminars co-organized between UB, UNLP and UNRN through Copolis-ADALQUI on “Critical Analysis of Social Control”, “Current and Future Issues of the Sociology of Criminal Control”, and “Policies and Family Diversity”; and other collaborations related to university teaching innovation (international conferences, projects in which students began to interact in virtual classrooms, advanced resource training in the process of carrying out their final work, thesis or thesis);
to more than half a dozen joint research projects or with the participation of members of various academic units; and the creation of a monthly column in the news blog “Apostilles of social control and human rights”, of the Adalquí Foundation.
In particular, it is worth highlighting the Column on Peoples, nations and the right to self-determination, developed by the Col·lectiu, on a monthly basis (third week of each month). The Column revolves around the defense of the rights of self-determination of the peoples, as well as the actions of support and reciprocal exchange between the peoples-nations without states or under oppressive states of the right to a differentiated existence, with special emphasis on the current political situation of the Catalan nation people and the Mapuche nation people.
