The Office of Mobility and International Programs (OMPI) provides a variety of tools to help you grow your academic network and develop impactful activities funded by the European Union or other international organizations.

Mission and vision
Our mission is to serve as a support system for the teaching and research staff at the University of Barcelona and their research groups, in order to promote and facilitate active participation in international cooperation programme calls. This involves providing expert advice, ensuring compliance with both internal and external regulations, and efficiently managing administrative and financial aspects throughout all phases of the project.
Our vision is to become a point of reference for all teaching and research staff interested in international cooperation projects. We aim to provide comprehensive support and, in doing so, contribute to consolidating the University of Barcelona as a leading institution within the European and international university ecosystem.
Services
OMPI provides UB staff with a comprehensive range of services. By engaging with the Office of Mobility and International Programmes, you will be able to manage your international cooperation projects in an efficient and smooth way, from the proposal stage through to execution, reporting, and closure:
- We advise you on the specific features of each funding programme.
- We review your proposals and budgets to increase the likelihood of approval.
- We oversee and review grant and consortium agreements.
- We process your project expenses and carry out financial monitoring.
- We support you in the financial reporting to the funding body.
- We guide the financial closure of your projects.
