Portal that facilitates the use of resources and avoids the generation of waste, extending the useful life of products. UB units that have furniture, consumables or other products in good condition can offer them to the rest of the UB.

A set of environmental and safety guidelines for the purchase of the different categories of products that have specific framework agreements or supply contracts.
Voluntary Agreements for the reduction of GHGs
Adhesion of the UB to the Voluntary Agreement Programme for the reduction of greenhouse gases of the Catalan Office for Climate Change of the Catalan Government. The results of the annual emissions inventories and the reduction measures applied as an acting entity are included.
“Switch them off, switch yourself off” campaign
Communication campaign carried out by the Environmental Unit of the OSSMA between 2018 and 2019 to raise awareness of the need to turn off and disconnect lights and electronic equipment at the university at the end of the day, when we leave for the weekend, and in general when we do not use them. The material used includes posters, stickers for polishers and appliances, and a small travelling exhibition.
Dissemination of energy and water consumption in buildings.
Since 2015, the OSSMA has been generating information on the evolution of consumption in UB buildings, and prepares specific reports so that each faculty can disseminate the results among its university community.

BOBCATSSS Barcelona 2014
Environmental measures applied to the BOBCATSS Barcelona 2014 congress, which was held at the Faculty of Library and Information Science, and which included measures to reduce waste and energy consumption, and the calculation of the footprint of the event, among others.
Thermography of the Physics and Chemistry faculties building
Infrared thermography characterisation of the Physics and Chemistry faculties building. Study carried out in the summer of 2013 and published in 2014.
Green Shopping Kit of the University of Barcelona
Communication campaign developed between 2009 and 2010. Using a box that was transformed into a paper tray for reuse, examples of office products that have some kind of environmental advantage over those of the same category (paper, envelopes, writing materials, etc.) were distributed among the UB’s administrative units.
Exhibition about the ecological footprint
Travelling exhibition about the concept of the ecological footprint, designed by the Environmental Unit of the OSSMA and with the support of Barcelona City Council. Once the exhibition was completed by the UB centres between 2007 and 2008, it was handed over to the Centre de Recursos Barcelona Sostenible (CRBS).
