4th PhD Workshop in Industrial and Public Economics (WIPE) – Call for papers
Next February 2016 (Thursday 11 and Friday 12) the research centre CREIP (www.urv.cat/creip) is organizing the 4th PhD-Student Workshop in Industrial and Public Economics (WIPE), located at the Faculty of Business and Economics of the Rovira i Virgili University, in Reus (Catalonia, Spain).
The workshop covers broad topics in Public Economics and Industrial Organization in order to allow PhD students to present their work in progress and/or their job market papers in a positive and constructive academic environment. WIPE is an academic meeting where PhD students, young doctors, postdoc and senior researchers could exchange experiences, research topics, ongoing projects and future research activities on the basis on the Industrial and Public Economics. WIPE will include about 16 presentations and plenary sessions with one keynote speaker (José L. Moraga, VU University Amsterdam and University Groningen). Papers to be presented must fit into topics of Industrial and Public Economics. There are not workshop fees, but attendants should cover their own travel and accommodation expenditures.
Extended Abstracts of proposed papers (between 500 and 1,000 words) should be submitted electronically in PDF format to creip@urv.cat by 25th November 2015, along with the name, affiliation and contact details of the author(s). The deadline for notification of acceptance of abstracts is by 16th December 2015. Full Papers (in the region of 8,000 words) of accepted abstracts should be submitted in Word or PDF format by 13th January 2016 to be included in the final workshop program.
