Girona, March, 18th 2015.- Prof. Yannis M. Ioannides is giving a conference on the Greek Economic Crisis and the reforms that Greece needs to guarantee Long-term Growth at the Faculty of Economics in the University of Girona.

The Greek Economic Crisis is a crisis of trust. Confidence is key for economic recovery and long-term Growth. To achieve this, Greece must reinevent itself. Business and policy-making  have to be conducted differently.

Prof. Ioannides is co-chair of the Greek Study Group at Harvard and Max and Herta Neubauer Professor of Economics at Tufts University. He received his PhD from Stanford University and has published more than one hundred scientific works. His research interests combine social economics, macroeconomics, and social interactions and urban structure on a world scale. His book, From Neighborhoods to Nations, The Economics of Social Interactions, was published in 2013. He has taken a particular interest in the Greek and European crisis.

The Seminar will be in English and is open to everyone.
