Workshop on intergenerational economy and longevity challenges

Last Thursday, May 31, the Fundació Universitat-Empresa de València held the following workshop: “La economía intergeneracional y los retos de la longevidad”. Professors Concepció Patxot and Guadalupe Souto gave a presentation on National Transfer Accounts (NTA), described its range and also how it applies in the Spanish case. They further examined the consecuences of increased longevity for the subsistence of the welfare state in Spain. The future of pensions and the outcomes derived from it were also analyzed .
