She has coordinated the JovenTIC research group since 2000 with which she investigates the digital gender gap, gender identities and ICT and digital gender violence using a qualitative methodology. She has taught and researched in Mexico at: UNAM, UAM, Instituto Nacional de Psiquiatría; and in Catalonia at: UAB, UOC and URV. She was a Visiting researcher at the Center for Gender and Women Studies, Lancaster University, UK and a Visiting Professor in the Department of Sociology, Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana. She has participated in more than 100 conferences, published about fifty book chapters, a dozen books and more than forty articles.
