Applications now open for the Master and PhD in Economics

The applications are now open for 2021/22 entry to the graduate programme in Economics at the UB School of Economics. The graduate programme comprises a two-year master’s degree in Economics and the PhD in Economics. These can be studied independently of one another if the student meets the entry requirements.  MSc in Economics candidates have time until June 15th, 2021 to submit their application. Two new three-year postdoctoral opportunities at the UB School of Economics

The UB School of Economics invites applications for two three-year postdoctoral positions beginning in September 2021. Fields of interest include Development, Growth, International Trade, Macroeconomics, Monetary, Public Economics (Economic analysis of governments) and Public Policy (Empirical evaluation of public policies). Applications should be submitted via the EconJobMarket website before December 11th, 2020. Yolanda Blasco-Martel awarded the XVI Premi Catalunya d’Economia 2019

UB School of Economics researcher ​​Yolanda Blasco-Martel has been awarded the XVI Premi Catalunya d’Economia 2019 for her work ‘El Banc de Barcelona, 1874-1920; decadència i fallida’. The large majority of our students come from Europe (54%), followed by Asia (18%), South America (10%), Middle East (10%) and North America (8%).
