DSCF3612editedIn order to improve the employability of Executive MBA students and provide them with the necessary tools to promote their personal brand, the Universitat de Barcelona Business School and the Career Services at the Faculty of Economics and Business have launched the MBA career development programme.

This new scheme has put in place a series of workshops aimed specifically at Executive MBA students, known as MBA career development programme. Sessions will focus on topics such as CV/LinkedIn, communications, networking/job interviews and job search. International expertise, soft skills and professional development competences will be just some of the strengths of this programme.

DSCF3597editedEach session will be led by a different expert, which will ensure that the content is tailored to the Executive MBA students. In 2018, the instructors will be:

Raquel Villero is the director of the Careers Service at the Faculty of Economics and Business of the University of Barcelona and is responsible for the session on CV and LinkedIn.

Silvia Bueso is an expert in fundraising. As professional coach and speaker she is in charge of the session on communication.

Giannina Tacca is partner at the consulting firm Valgianni and economic ambassador for Italy, Mexico and Texas at the Andorran Business Confederation. She will be the instructor of the networking and interview session.

Marta Puig will be leading a session on job search. She is founder and career consultant at International Career Development (ICD), recruitment consultant at Promaut and career coach at NetExpat.

Sessions take place at the Faculty of Economics and Business from January to April. However, this scheme also foresees personalised guidance and support provided by a team of experts at the Career Services office. Executive MBA students may also benefit from other activities organised by the Career Services for the broader audience of the Faculty.

Executive MBA Business Chats, a series of conferences that each year bring top CEOs and managers into the classroom, will also fall under the framework of the MBA career development sessions. Coordination between the new thematic career workshops and Business Chats will allow a better experience for students.
