Soy Profesora de Investigación de ICREA en la Universidad de Barcelona con muchos años de experiencia laboral previa en la Universidad Complutense de Madrid y la Universidad de Durham . Durante los diez últimos años uno de mis temas de investigación ha sido el patrimonio arqueológico sobre el que he hablado en múltiples conferencias. También he dirigido varias tesis doctorales sobre esta temática. Mis intereses incluyen el valor social y económico del patrimonio, el Patrimonio Mundial, el desarrollo del turismo arqueológico, la ética, la política del patrimonio y el papel del patrimonio para las nuevas poblaciones migrantes en Europa. Estoy orgullosa de ser la líder de GAPP, el Grupo de Arqueología Pública y Patrimonio, y dirigir a un grupo tan dinámico de jóvenes expertos en patrimonio que están desarrollando proyectos patrimoniales por diversas partes del mundo. GAPP organiza una serie regular de seminarios – las converses – y está profundamente involucrado en la difusión de sus proyectos tanto a los especialistas como al público en general. He sido la IP del equipo español del proyecto europeo de JPI Heritage & Values y ahora lo soy del proyecto europeo JPICH Curbatheri/Deep Cities.

I am an ICREA Research Professor based at the University of Barcelona with many years of previous work experience at the Complutense University of Madrid and Durham University. I have been researching and lecturing on heritage issues for more than a decade and supervised several PhD thesis on this topic through completion. My interests include the social and economic value of heritage, World Heritage, the development of archaeological tourism, ethics, the politics of heritage, and the role of heritage within new migrant populations in Europe. I am proud of being the leader of GAPP, the Group of Public Archaeology and Heritage, managing such a dynamic group of young heritage experts who are developing heritage projects around the world. GAPP organizes a regular series of seminars – the converses – and is deeply involved in the dissemination to both specialists and the wider public of its projects. I was the PI of the Spanish team of the European JPI Heritage & Values project, and currently I am the PI of the Spanish team of the JPICH Curbatheri/Deep Cities project.
