Fui doctorando en Gestión Cultural y Patrimonio en la Universidad de Barcelona. En mi investigación me centré en la dimensión multivocal del patrimonio arqueológico maya en México y Guatemala. Analicé los usos sagrados y políticos de los yacimientos en los ámbitos de la memoria y de la ritualidad de comunidades locales de ambos países. Tengo un grado (2009) y un máster (2011) en Literatura, Lenguas y Culturas Extranjeras por la Université de Pau et des Pays de l’Adour y un máster en Relaciones Interculturales y Cooperación Internacional por la Université Lille 3 Charles de Gaulle (2015). Entre 2011 y 2012, fui profesor asistente en la Universidad de Quintana Roo de Chetumal. Durante los años siguientes, he colaborado con diferentes organizaciones relacionadas con el patrimonio natural y cultural en Nicaragua, México y España (PNUD, UNESCO, INAH, EAA). En el marco de mi tesis tuve la oportunidad de realizar una estancia de investigación en el Abteilung für Altamerikanistik de la Universidad de Bonn financiada por el DAAD (2017) y otra en el Instituto Ibero-Americano de Berlín financiada por esta última institución (2020). De 2018 a 2020 fui asistente de investigación para el proyecto ERC Artsoundscapes en el cual investigué sobre las relaciones entre arte rupestre, paisaje cultural y música entre sociedades cazadoras-recolectoras de Baja California. En la actualidad soy investigador postdoctoral del proyecto Anillo – Patrimonio, Espacio y Género (PEG)

I was a Cultural Heritage Management PhD candidate at the University of Barcelona between 2016 and 2022. In my research I focused on the multivocal dimension of Maya archaeological heritage in Mexico and Guatemala. In both countries I analyzed local communities’ sacred and political uses of the remains in the realms of memory and rituality. I have a B.A. (2009) and a M.A. (2011) in Literature, Languages and Foreign Cultures from the Université de Pau et des Pays de l’Adour and a M.A. in Intercultural Relations and International Cooperation from the Université Lille 3 Charles de Gaulle (2015). Between 2011 and 2012, I was an assistant professor at the University of Quintana Roo in Chetumal. During the following years, I have collaborated with different organizations related to natural and cultural heritage in Nicaragua, Mexico and Spain (UNDP, UNESCO, INAH, EAA). I had the opportunity to carry out a research stay at the Abteilung für Altamerikanistik from the University of Bonn which was funded by the DAAD (2017). In 2020, I was awarded a research grant by the Ibero-Amerikanisches Institut to undertake a stay in Berlin (2020). From 2018 to 2020 I was a research assistant for the ERC Artsoundscapes project in which I worked on the relationships between rock art, cultural landscapes, and music among hunter-gatherer societies from Baja California. Currently I am a post-doctoral researcher in the Anillo – Patrimonio, Espacio y Género (PEG) project.
