Multinational companies are the largest employers of MSc in International Business graduates from the UB Business School. The first cohort of the programme –launched in the academic year 2018/19– have recently entered the labour market. Within months from graduating, our students have landed jobs at global corporations such as LG, Lufthansa, Ernst & Young and SAP.

The Technology/Telecom industry accounts for almost half of all new recruits (45%). Some examples include SAP, NCR Corporation, Safened, Nubalia, etc. Approximately, 15% have secured jobs at companies in the Transportation/Travel industry (Lufthansa, TravelPerk). Another 15% have joined companies in the Consumer Goods industry (LG, Varta). The remaining 25% have been recruited by in Consulting Firms (Ernst & Young) or Financial Institutions (National Bank of Liechtenstein), among others.

Many of our students decide to stay in Barcelona after their graduation. As many as 53% of all new recruits have joined companies headquartered or with sizable operations in this city. Most of them are nationals from foreign countries (85%) who have decided to pursue a professional career in Barcelona after finishing their degree at the UB Business School. They are mainly from Germany, Austria, Argentina, Uruguay, Brazil and India. The second most popular destination for our graduates is Germany (23%). Others took up positions in Italy, Liechtenstein or other Spanish cities.

General Management is the most common placement of MSc in International Business graduates by function (38%). Around 15% of the new recruits have taken up positions in Sales & Marketing and roughly the same number of students have accepted a position in Consulting. There are others who have secured jobs as Corporate Strategy professionals (8%) or Business/Data Analysts (8%). The remaining 15% of new recruits have been landing in positions in other business areas.
