Information

The site was discovered in November 2013 by our research team, led by Inés Domingo (ICREA-UB) and Dídac Roman (UJI/Pre-EINA). Its location was kept secret until 2017, when preventive closure could be carried out to ensure its protection.

The shelter is on a rocky outcrop about 200 m long in the meander that gives the site its name. The paintings are in an area about 20 m long and are in different states of preservation.

Among the 20 or so preserved figures, the presence of large bovids (about 40 cm long), archers, goats and deer stands out.

This finding is currently under study.
