I am an archaeologist focused on Mesoamerica, with an emphasis on Classic Central Mexico and specializing in Teotihuacan. I have a degree in History (2012), a Masters in Archaeology (2013) and a PhD in Archaeology (2019), all obtained at the Universitat de Barcelona. My research interests are ancient urbanism, premodern cities, urban life, state formation and architecture. In fact, the topic of my doctoral dissertation was to study the early urban formation of Teotihuacan and understand its social and rulership transformations. I undertook PhD research stays at the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (Mexico) in 2015 and 2017.
I am a current Gerda Henkel Foundation postdoctoral research scholar as part of the sponsored project Living in the ruins of the city of Teotihuacan, Mexico led by Dr. Natalia Moragas and Dr. Alessandra Pecci from the Universitat de Barcelona. Also, I participate in “Proyecto interdisciplinario para el estudio de un barrio central en Teotihuacan” led by Dr. Natalia Moragas and Dr. Alessandra Pecci from the Universitat de Barcelona in collaboration with the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México.
